Birmingham Air-prot to Worcester Art Gallery in a Taxi With a 500k Piece of Art
Following a quick 55 minute flight journey from home we approached Birmingham international air-port right in the middle of the most remarkable hail thunderstorms I have seen in very many years, it was hitting the ceiling of our airline that hard I assumed we were likely to see daylight through holes from the roof at any moment.
Happily we did not need to clear customs because our airline flight was classed as domestic, so we were spared the honours of the normal 20 minute queue this time. Everyone went out via the main gates and strolled directly past an enormous line of airport taxis which were waiting for jobs, to the short stay car park where we had arranged for a Worcester Taxi to collect us and drive us directly to The Worcester Art Gallery.
Our intending use the Worcester taxi airport service instead of jumping in a local taxi in the airport terminal, was that we thought that by hiring the local Worcester taxi, the driver knows exactly where the Art gallery is at Worcester, whilst the The city of birmingham airport transfer driver would probably not have a clue where he was looking for in the centre of Worcester.
After collecting the artwork promptly, we went outside where we had a Northampton taxi waiting around to drive us straight to Delapre Abbey, just outside Northampton. Once again, finding a taxi cab local to our final destination, using the plan that the driver’s neighborhood experience will get us straight to the Abbey with no avoidable u turns or adventures.
Utilizing a Northampton Taxi also presented us an opportunity of quizzing the driver and finding some of the best local dining places to eat in, and also exactly where the very best shopping was.
