Just Got Back From Rapidly Acquiring A Classic Mustang

  • So I have not had time to write on the weblog quite as much as I’d planned, owing to all the time I’ve been helping my pops fuel his super nutball midlife crisis. True, I guess it’s not quite as nuts as it could be. The thing is, how he did it was to go and dress himself up like he was Fonzie or something, and come on over to my place and tell me, in his jazziest dialect: “Get ready, son, we are going vying for some classic Mustang sales. You heard that right, youngster, I’m going to get myself one.”

So next the two of us were hopping around to some of those wild classic car places that I’m pretty much certain the mob owns and operates, and I stare in wonder my dad wrote a check on the spot, for an alarmingly sparkly classic Ford automobile. It really is quite item. It sounded great as well.

You’ll notice I wrote that last sentence in a past tense. It had a great sound right until it became silent. The old man informs me that it’s a easy thing to fix and that all it will take is the right part. I’m thinking, it may not be as straightforward to get your hands on 1968 Mustang parts as it was some 30 years ago, but Dad tells me there is a pretty big market for them to this day. As far as my Dad tells me the the easiest way to find parts for classic Ford Mustangs is via web auctions, since you can get them refurbished and occasionally even brand new. They might not be cheap, though… Get real, these are 30-year-old Ford Mustang parts.

I guess it could’ve been worse… He could have gone and found a toupee.
