Have your friends recently commented on your weight? Since well-meaning friends would always your best interest at heart, they may have a point. Before taking that step, consider who is making the complain. Is the person really concerned about you overall well-being? Is he being reasonable? Is the recommendation from your doctor? Then it may be necessary that you take their recommendations into consideration. Many people would become embarrassed when they are told to lose weight. Bear in mind that the person making the recommendation may really have your interest at heart. Their concerns may go beyond your appearance; it may be concerns with your health. So do not feel embarrassed and turn a deaf ear to their suggestions.
Another clear sign that you need to start an exercise program in other to lose weight and remain fit is when tasks that at one time were easy have become difficult and strainous. While it is true that becoming out of breath from simple activities may not necessarily be a weight problem, there is a chance that it is. Even with a little loss of weight, you will very likely see that carrying out daily tasks become easier.
